Perivoli Early Childhood Development Data Collection & Management Reforms

Perivoli Schools Trust provides training to nursery school teachers to improve educational play and learning for children during their formative years in Namibia, Malawi and Zambia. As the Trust began to expand, the need to standardise data collection and management tools, ensuring data collected can tell the story of their success across multiple countries, became apparent.

CGA developed a new online database linked to the Perivoli website, displaying data in real time as it is collected. We also developed a tablet-based data collection tool, which is currently used across the three operational countries and, in the interim, revised and standardised existing paper-based data collection forms.

Output

MIS developed and in use by management teams across Malawi, Namibia and Zambia (with Uganda to join in 2021).
Data collection app in use across all the countries and feeding successfully into the system for real-time monitoring.
All historic records across all three countries successfully digitalised and uploaded to the system from paper-based resources (5000+ records).
