Malawi Schools Attendance Monitoring System
Working in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, CGA Technologies developed the pilot SMS-based Malawi Schools Attendance Monitoring System in Dowa District.

The pilot Attendance Monitoring System was integrated fully with the Government’s EMIS and Cohort Tracking System (with unique pupil ID codes), and is visible at www.msams.org. During the one-month pilot in the Dowa District (May-July 2016), the system recorded 90% correct and timely reporting rates.
The success of the pilot contributed to the design of MESIP component 3.2, which CGA is now implementing.
