Chikondi Kamfosi

Chikondi is a senior IT developer with considerable experience of Management Information Systems (MIS) and android and web-based application development, working in both the public and private sector in Malawi, the USA and remotely for Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. Chikondi holds a BSc in Computer Science, majoring in Software Engineering. Chikondi has vast experience in a number of computer programming languages and tools including 10 years’ experience in PHP, Java, Javascript, C#, SQL, 8 years’ experience working with Android and over 5 years’ experience using C++, C and Unix/Linux.

Chikondi leads the MIS work for the Malawi Social Cash Transfers Programme (SCTP), working closely with the Government of Malawi. Chikondi maintains the current system whilst simultaneously drawing on his expertise to create a new MIS, ensuring a visually impactful dashboard that will deliver real-time data to be collection across 14 Districts of Malawi. The new MIS will be operational in the coming months and will work to ensure that 300,000 recipients of cash transfers are paid in a timely and efficient way in Malawi.
