GEC Girls’ Education Challenge - Tranisition

CGA continued its role as monitor for Somalia projects for the extension of Girls’ Education Challenge (GEC), which focused on ensuring students are supported during tough transitioning periods, such as primary to secondary, or secondary to tertiary education.

Working closely with CARE and Relief International, we conducted quarterly monitoring visits to projects and liaising between the projects, the Fund Manager, and DFID. From 2017 we continued this work with the Africa Educational Trust (AET), CGA worked to ensure the GEC-T projects met their learning outcomes targets in over 400 schools across Somalia and Somaliland.
