Shalisa Veira-Mzungu
Shalisa is one of the new additions to our CGA family. Her role at CGA Technologies is a Financial Management Consultant where she provides technical assistance to the Social Cash Transfer Program (SCTP) in Malawi.
Her passion for development has seen her gain over 12 years' experience managing various donor funding mechanisms, and in some cases basket funds for various donors, most notable is the management of a $120 million dollar multi donor portfolio. Her specialty is financial reporting processes, identification and closing of gaps in reporting systems and capacity building. For the SCTP, she is responsible for the day to day financial management of the program, ensuring quality in the financial reporting from the district councils to the Central level and ultimately to the Donor.
Her other areas of experience and expertise include policy implementation and compliance, budget and payables management, financial capacity building of managers, inventory management systems which improve tracking and reduce losses.
Shalisa is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over eight years of post-qualification experience and holds a BSc (Hon) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.
