Mary Sirah Kamara
Mary joined CGA Technologies' team in Sierra Leone in September 2024 as GISI District Coordinator. She plays a central role in delivering the Girls in School Initiative (GISI) in Western Area Urban and Rural districts, working closely with programme participants, schools, communities, and local government. Key responsibilities include identifying and enrolling eligible girls into the programme, ensuring accurate attendance reporting, timely cash transfers, and effective referrals for girls who need additional support.
Mary brings strong expertise in community development and gender equity, with a Master’s in Environmental Management and Quality Control and a Bachelor’s in Environment and Development from Njala University. She has held roles with the Sierra Leone Urban Research Centre, Restless Development, and ONE GIRL, where she worked on girls’ education, health education, and research to inform policy and community wellbeing.
Known for her inclusive, community-centred approach, Mary combines strong analytical skills with a deep commitment to empowering vulnerable girls and strengthening the systems that support them. Her experience and leadership are integral to the success of GISI’s work in partner districts.
